I suppose I should start with the basics. My name is Jonathan, but you can call me Jon. Or not. Your choice, really.

I'm a second-semester sophomore at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois, where I'm a double major in History and English. Don't ask me what I want to do with that degree -- the answer is nothing. I'm off to law school.

I recently dropped out of the Education Department. I never wanted to be a teacher, anyway. I care more about getting out of here as quickly as possible than getting a certificate I'll ever use. So that's that.

Beyond that, I'm an aspiring author. I had a tendency to not finish stories and bury them in shoe-boxes in my closet or on my hard drive. I'm starting to break that habit. The process is taking longer than I'd like, though.

Recently, my roommate and I launched a website for our writing. If the community gets large enough, I'm thinking about hosting a Writer's Group -- critiques, contests, the whole shabang.
